The Brand New Heavies are a British acid jazz and funk band formed in 1985, originally consisting of Simon Bartholomew, Andrew Levy, and Jan Kincaid. They became one of the most prominent acts of the acid jazz movement in the late 1980s and 1990s, known for albums like Brother Sister and their blend of funk, soul, and jazz influences.

Siedah Garrett joined the group as a lead vocalist in the late 1990s, featuring on their 1997 album Shelter, and is also widely known for her work with Michael Jackson, including co-writing Man in the Mirror and performing I Just Can’t Stop Loving You.
