It is astonishing to realize that Booker Little's level of accomplishment and maturity, a level attained within a lifespan that ended at the age of 23.

"Victory and Sorrow", one of Little's finest compositions, is a Spanish sounding theme with beautifully voiced horns. The tune runs in tree distinct sections with appropriate tempo changes.
