Jennifer Lopez & Pitbull World Cup 2014 Opening Ceremony: Better than Shakira's 2010 Performance?

The 2014 World Cup officially kicked off with this opening ceremony!! As you probably know, Pitbull, JLo and Claudia Leitte performed the official song of the Cup, "We Are One (Ole Ola)" and while I would have loved to be there, the aerial shots of the live show were beautiful, that soccer ball that the trio rose out of was really cool and everyone looks HOT. JLo in that green beaded bodysuit with cutouts and Louboutins, wow, and Claudia in blue cheering for her home team, also in a bodysuit and heels to the sky -- sexy ladies. Pitbull, you look good in that jersey too. So if you're a fan of the World Cup then you should just be excited about this official musical ceremony especially because the very first match kicked off after it, but of course, there are tons of fan comparisons being drawn between this show and Shakira's performance for the 2010 Cup in South Africa. Oh man, that was so good!!
There are some notable differences in that 2014, obviously was the opening ceremony during the day, so you could actually see people in the background, being rather tame at certain points. It must be not exciting at all to have tickets to the World Cup -- I kid, I kid. Versus Shakira's Waka Waka went down for the closing ceremony so the stadium was blacked out at night and the focus was really kept on the field and on the celebration. Plus, there was tons of choreography and as many people are putting, authenticity. That being said, I'm giving props to this year's trio and team -- I loved it and I adore Waka Waka -- but if you're more of a Shakira fan, don't worry, she does actually have her own song for the 2014 World Cup, La La La.
