This is the birth of my son Slater from October 2009. That's not my real body. My you-can-tell-I-go-to-the-gym body is slowly being returned to me. This birth was a successful midwife-assisted VBAC - no pain killers. I had no clue what I was having, but I thought I for sure I was having a girl, though, based on the differences between this pregnancy and my first pregnancy with my other son. (Had he been a she, his name would have been "Adina" - like "Idina," my favorite singer, but with an "A.")
