The home birth of baby number 4; will baby be a boy or a girl!? Let's find out!
I would be lying if I said this labor and delivery didn't push me to my very limits. It was long, intense, and extremely painful at times. I gave it everything I had and wasn't sure at some points if that would be enough. From beginning to end this little one made me WORK FOR IT. Although this is not quite the same relaxed home birth experience I had with my other two home births I still love the atmosphere of peace and team work that presided over the entire birth. My midwife and husband were amazing and we worked together as a team to bring this little one safely into the world!
***Please Note that there are large portions of this 2 day labor that were not explicitly talked about or shown; I received that absolute BEST care during this situation. My midwife believe that my fore water broke the first night and my actual water broke the second night. Also, as long as the mother is taking care to stay clean and has her health care provider's permission there is no reason she can't wait for the natural onset of labor even 24 hours after her water has broken.

Although a true knot in the umbilical cord is very rare, it can bet dangerous. Often they go completely undiagnosed until around 37 weeks pregnant when/if there is a significant drop in baby's movements. There is no way to "treat" or "cure" a true knot.
