Suchmos is a rock group from Kanagawa-ken, Japan. The band’s name is from "Satchmo", nickname of Louis Armstrong.
Their music is influenced by acid jazz and hip-hop yet is listened to and supported by people of different ages.
Suchmos debuted with EP "Essence" in April 2015 and immediately attracted great attention from both music fans and professionals. The band then released their first album, "The Bay" on 8 July 2015, which got them awarded Best New Artist by Apple Music Best of 2015 (Japan) and marked a breakthrough in their career.
Suchmos于2013年1月結成，全員神奈川縣出身。平均年齡20出頭的他們憑藉糅合了ACID JAZZ、HIP HOP等風格的曲風贏得了各個年齡段聽眾的青睞。
樂隊名則來自Louis Armstrong的愛稱Satchmo。
2015年，出道E.P.發售就收到廣泛好評，同年夏天發行的首長全長專輯《THE BAY》更加勢不可擋，演出亦是一票難求。
