Stanislav Antonevich is a classically trained violinist who has been playing violin since the age of three. He teaches violin out of his studio in Newton, MA (www.newtonviolin.com), as well as at some other local schools. He is also assistant concertmaster of the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra.

Most classical violinists find it very difficult to adapt to the Jazz genre. Improvisation is often the most challenging, because classical training emphasizes strict adherence to the original score. In addition to rigorous classical training, Stanislav has received Masters' degree in Jazz from the Longy School of Music. Stanislav also took workshops from the well known European Gypsy Jazz violinist Vitali Imereli.

Stanislav feels lucky to have recently started working with improvisational pianist Leo Loginov Katz. They have great fun playing together, and they hope that their Jazz duo "ANTONEVICH & KATZ" has a long future ahead. For more information, see www.AntonevichKatz.com
