MLP PMV - Take on Me

You might want to grab a cup of coffee whilst you read this whole description (theres alot to get done).

The clips of the origional song where they enter the comic style world and everything looks like its been sketched but not coloured was what i was going for here.

I used Sony Vegas 9.0 for the WHOLE video (i didnt use after effects, although im pretty sure a similar and probably better effect could of been achieved with after effects)

If you want to replecate the effect yourself (it worked on ponies, im not sure about other videos), use these 3 effects
-Black and white, 100%
-Sharpen, Set to 100%
-Starburst bright center (i had to muck around with the settings for EACH clip to try and get it to work with this effect, and as you can probably tell, some clips trned out alot better than others)

Also do beware, and something i found out, is that clips with LIGHT COLOURED (whether it be interior or exterior, didnt matter a whole lot) work much better than clips with DARKER COLOURED backgrounds. (often the darker coloured backgrounds didnt even work at all)

There really was alot of trial and error with these effects, often it didnt work aswell as anyone would of liked. Which is also my excuse as to the probably unnacceptable (even for me) use of repeat clips. Plain and simple, i couldnt use about 2/3's of ALL the pony eps available, due to the effects not working properly
Once again, this video is not in 720p, my excuse this time, I use 360p MP4 videos as my source files (the eps i put on my ipod) and the effects just wouldnt play nice when attempting to render them in 720p (i do promise though, that ill get ALL the episodes in 720p so i wont suffer this problem in the future hopefully.

The amount of overlaying effects used on the videos for this consistantly caused my computer to lag out (and crash on one occurance), so i am refraiing from doing another special effects driven PMV like this untill i upgrade my computer (hopefully by the end of june)

And i can also understand the lip sync is far from perfect on this one (if even good at all at some parts), this was because the horrendous computer lag i suffered caused the video to be almost unwatchable when playing back, so i had LOADS of trouble lining up the lip sync. Forgiveness Please?
