Hisashiburi CityPop

Hisashiburi CityPop is a short-doc that explores the history and reemergence of CityPop, a 70s-80s music genre of Japanese music. By talking with music experts and people that lived in Japan during that time, Hisashiburi CityPop is an introduction to this musical genre as well as an attempt to get the viewer to learn more about it.

This documentary wouldn't have been possible without the support of many people. I want to thank you for all your help and patience while I was producing this piece (named in the credits).

Special thanks to Van Paugam, who believed in this documentary right from the start and helped me achieve this. Coolest man and now a good friend. Thank you for your support!

Also, special thanks to Michael Rogge, who gave me permission to use many of his videos of Japan during the 70s as archival footage. A link to his Youtube channel will be posted below.

None of the music clips belong to me, they are used under fair use and to explain specific themes discussed in the documentary. They have all been credited to their respective owners in the credits at the end of the documentary.
