Kenny Dixon Jr. drops his best album in a decade, replete with stellar guest spots from Funkadelic, Andrés, Nikki O, Jose James and Bilal. Housed in some of the dopest artwork you'll cop in 2014, the album is a laidback and highly-entertaining stroll around Moodymann's mind; a place obsessed with the holy trinity of women, funk and the 313. After a couple of listens thru, there's a coupla obvious standouts - the supple bump and treacly vocal of 'Jose James on 'Desire', the techno-fied roll of 'Sunday Hotel', Andrés' liquid ghetto-tech-soul ace 'Lyk U Used 2', and quite obviously the outstanding 'Sloppy Cosmic' closer with Funkadelic - but it's best consumed in one sitting, preferably with a box of chicken and biscuits and a bottle of malt liquor, as depicted on the inner sleeve.
