The blurb
Another rising star of the UK house scene, Harry Wolfman from the head-turning Purp & Soul crew, joins the Lost My Dog ranks with his latest EP of trippy and twisted deep house. Harry's three original tracks are all built around hypnotic deep grooves, complemented by thickly layered synths and pads, and sparse vocal stabs. The result is a captivating listen.
Title track 'Booty Call' is backed by two remixes -- the first by Ben Pearce, still riding high on the success of his Beatport chart-topping single 'What I Might Do' last year. Ben takes things even deeper than the original with huge swirling build-ups and a relentless nagging bassline. The second remix comes from Lost My Dog boss Pete Dafeet who is currently in a hot streak of form following an album and 2 EPs for LMD in 2012, and has countless remix and worldwide gig requests rolling in. Pete's remix retains the eerie feel of the original, but increases the energy in the drums and brings extra grit to the synth work.
Harry who now?
Having spent the best of his teenage years honing in his production craft, 2012 was the year Harry Wolfman finally settled into his stride and begin turning heads amongst the house and techno community. His discography has quickly gained a signature for having an impending sound that creates truly contemporary pieces of engaging, yet dance floor inspired, music.
Harry joined the tight knit Purp & Soul family at the start of 2012 (labeled by DMC World Magazine as "one of the UK's brightest new agencies & labels"), and quickly established himself as one of their key players with his 'Secret Love' and '96 Affair' EP gaining strong recognition. This success is epitomised by Harry's remix on the colossal Ben Pearce track 'What I Might Do' that received an overwhelming amount of support from the likes of Seth Troxler, Solomun, Huxley and Crazy P.
Aside from production Harry has also taken his hand to promotion by co-founding the London based 'Wolfstock' events brand that continues to grow in reputation hosting monthly parties across the capital and whose impressive list of bookings include the likes of Joy Orbison, Fred P, Tim Green and Audiojack.
