'Cathode Ray' by 'Screen Vinyl Image' is from their amazing debut album 'Interceptors' which was released in February 2009 on 'Safranin Sound' and 'Custom Made Music'. This awesome video was filmed and edited by 'Markus Fussell'.
'Screen Vinyl Image' are a Virginia based electronic/psychedelic group composed of husband/wife duo Jake and Kim Reid who were also members of the Washington DC shoegaze outfit 'Alcian Blue'.
'Screen Vinyl Image' play a heavy and heady fusion of rock and electronic music with influences in psychedelic, shoegaze, new wave and dark wave genres. The band have in the past been dubbed by the press as being goth-gaze.
'Screen Vinyl Image' have played with some amazing bands such as 'Ulrich Schnauss', 'Auburn Lull', 'Spectrum', 'The December Sound', 'A Place to Bury Strangers', 'A Sunny Day In Glasgow', and actively play shows year round. Their performances have been compared by many to 'Suicide' and 'My Bloody Valentine'. With their DIY visuals combined with over 3,000 watts of strobes take their audience into a trip of sensory overdrive.
