The Jalapeno Brothers are an ethnically diverse (Mexican, Filipino, Chinese, Puerto Rican, Ecuadorian) hip hop group from Los Angeles, California. The group is composed of rappers Jo Well and Phenomenon, singer Cee Nario, and DJ I.am.JAM. All friends since high school and college, this talented group may be young in age, but they are far from rookies in the music industry.
As part of the very successful underground hip hop group "The Antidotes", Jo Well, Phenomenon, and Cee Nario have been involved in 7 international CD releases based in Japan on the record label Goon Trax/Media Factory. These releases include 2 group (The Antidotes: LA Lights, Beat The Classics) LPs, 1 solo (Jo Well: Beautiful Change) LP, and 4 compilations (In Ya Mellow Tone series). Each album successful in it's own right, this musical catalog has spawned countless hits on iTunes Japan, with songs going as high as number 6 ("Got Rhymes") and at one time giving this group 3 songs("Got Rhymes," "One of a Kind," "Speed It Down") in the Hip Hop top 100 on itunes Japan. Other notable songs include "Universoul Groove," "Win Win Situation," "Holidays," "Just Crusin," "Dust in the Wind," " Any Minute Now," and "Jupiter."
With the up-rise of the Internet scene, various songs, mixtapes, and
compilations, from Jo Well, Phenomenon, Cee Nario, and DJ Iamjam have been featured on some of the most respected and credible hip hop websites and blogs (2dopeboyz, XclusivesZone, MixtapeTorrent, etc.)
This group's song writing has not gone unheard to the mainstream either, with Jo Well and Cee Nario being called in to write and work with none other than Taboo of the multi platinum group the Black Eyed Peas. Going along with their studio accolades, this is also a very accomplished group on stage, sharing that stage with a veritable who's who of the Hip Hop world, and performing on countless stages in the United States. DJ Iamjam has also played at numerous Universities and venues, with performances in front of thousands of people under his belt.
