J.J CALE Cocaine

This mid seventies classic was written and recorded by J.J Cale, Eric Clapton's cover version is perhaps better known. In Australia, J.J's version made the Top 100, and received lots of airplay, while in America Eric's version made the Top 30.

Cale's wonderful merging of blues and pop/rock made him one of the most distinctive voices and players at a time when disco and bubblegum pop reigned supreme. 'Cocaine;' went to #1 in the country across the ditch from Aussie land - NZ!
