Under My Control (8-Bit Remix) - Kirby's Return to Dream Land

DISCLAIMER: Magolor sprites were created by a member of the community, not me. Also, I don't normally do animations, but I received custom sprites so I figured I'd give it a shot. Animation is not 1:1 with the NES, and instead is a representation of how I would imagine it playing out.

It's interesting to look at the composers who create the soundtracks to the Kirby games. It seems like each main composer takes a phase of the final boss themes. For example, in Return to Dream Land, Ishikawa took the first phase, while Ando took the last phase (CROWNED). In Triple Deluxe, Robobot, and Star Allies, this is always the case. I think it's really cool to see how different composers handle the final boss themes, since each one takes their own unique approach.

Take Hirokazu Ando, for example. Ando usually writes a main theme for each game that gets remixed for things like the level themes, boss themes, and the final boss. The main themes for each main Kirby game since Return to Dream Land were all written by him.

Jun Ishikawa, on the other hand, is known for a lot of her unique original songs scattered throughout the games. Songs like Another Dimension, Hyness Unhooded, Moonlight Capital, and others are all done in his traditional style. When you think of "hardcore Kirby music", you're probably thinking of Ishikawa.

That's all, I just had a bunch of thoughts about the soundtrack and wanted to share them.
