Late-stage neurological Lyme disease

UPDATED 11.30.2017

Thank you for joining me on my healing journey through Late-stage Neurological Lyme Disease.

I have since reached a nearly 50% recovery with the help of a naturopathic doctor, nutrition & lifestyle changes, spiritual growth, emotional & mental health support, alternative treatments, and am now 100% pharmaceutical-free. An auto accident in 2015 complicated my recovery (which was closer to 75% beforehand), but I believe I my body has the ability to heal herself completely.

PLEASE NOTE: The seizure & dystonia episodes viewed on this channel were diagnosed as non-epileptic frontal lobe seizures as a result of Lyme disease & co-infections, which can pass through the blood-brain barrier & infect the nervous system.

Medical (specifically antibiotic) treatment can also induce neurological & other responses in what is called a Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction (or "Herx") when endotoxin-like products are released by the death or "die-off" of harmful microorganisms like Lyme bacteria.

I understand that there has been some confusion as these types of seizures do not present themselves as typical epileptiform seizures and were often induced by physical, mental or emotional stress triggers causing folks to question the diagnosis.

Please note that not all seizures result in unconsciousness. These particular seizures did NOT cause unconsciousness nor were they faked as they are consistent with the diagnosis of a brain infection and have supporting documentation.

Although frontal lobe seizures may not show on an EEG test (& many Lyme diagnoses depend on clinical examinations given the inefficacy of current blood tests), this was diagnosed by an LLMD Neuropsychiatrist along with other LLMDs (Lyme-Literate Medical Doctors) and infectious disease specialists following a SPECT scan revealing inflammation of the brain tissue along with other supporting test results.

Please visit Lymedisease.org for more information on how to prevent and treat Lyme disease and its co-infections. Thank you so much for your support and many blessing to the folks and their families battling Lyme and other chronic illnesses! Hang on, it DOES get better!
