I think it's time this moderately well known, if not quite household name, American composer gets more exposure. In this work, I enjoy the opening theme of the first movement, reminding me a bit of the chord progressions found in many pop songs before it gets a thorough working over throughout the movement. I also appreciate the soft piano arpeggios in the slow second movement. The third and fourth movements, being shorter, I combined into one video. I have used random photos from the 1890s around the time this piece was composed. Enjoy!
