UNIVERS ZERO live at GOUVEIA ART ROCK 2005 - "Dense"

This is an exclusive Gouveia Art Rock YouTube channel video. If there are classic breathtaking compositions in the long, groundbreaking, artistical path of belgian rock-in-opposition pioneers Univers Zéro, then "Dense" is surely one of them. Featured originally in one of UZ's most praised albums, "Ceux du Dehors" (1980), it was played by an exquisite ensemble lead in Gouveia by the project's mastermind Daniel Denis (drums), composed also of Michel Berckmans (bassoon), Martin Lauwers (violin), Peter Vandenberghe (keyboards), Eric Plantain (bass) and Kurt Budé (clarinet). The whole show was complemented by the graphical art projections of Philippe Seynaeve.

Se há composições que marcaram o longo e aventuroso percurso artístico dos pioneiros belgas do movimento rock-in-opposition, "Dense" é seguramente uma delas. A peça foi originalmente lançada em "Ceux du Dehors", o álbum de 1980, ainda hoje considerado um dos marcos essenciais da carreira dos Univers Zéro. Em Gouveia, "Dense" foi interpretada por um ensemble de músicos de excepção, obviamente conduzidos pelo mentor do projecto, Daniel Denis (bateria), mas também pelo companheiro de muitos anos, Michel Berckmans (fagote e oboé), Martin Lauwers (violino), Peter Vandenberghe (teclados), Eric Plantain (baixo) e Kurt Budé (clarinete). Toda actuação dos Univers Zéro em Gouveia foi complementada pela projecção da instalação-vídeo elaborada pelo artista Philippe Seynaeve.
