沖縄が大好きなので今回は島唄に挑戦！この曲を理解するために歌詞の意味や沖縄戦争(1945年）に関していろいろ調べました。前から好きだった曲だけど、今回は意味をしっかりと理解してから唄ったので涙をこらえるのが大変なくらい魂に響く一曲でした。曲の内容が分からなかった頃からも、聴く旅に魂に響いていた理由が今になって分かります。私を通してもこの素晴らしい曲がさらにもっと遠くまで届くといいな〜なんて思っています。

This song is about the war in Okinawa, Japan in 1945. I always liked the sound of this song, but I had no idea how sad and deep this song was until I researched the meaning and more about the war. After knowing the depth and the meaning of this song, it was difficult to sing it without crying, I was holding my tears back the whole time. I hope through me this beautiful song will reach even more hearts.
