BUFFETLIBRE RELEASES THEIR FIRST EP: 'THE SUN IN THE SHADE'

What can have in common a Brazilian band produced by Diplo (Bonde do Role), the designer of artists such as Korn and Skrillex, Spinto Band's singer Nick Krill and Spanish independent music scene? The answer is simple: Buffetlibre.

The well known duo from Barcelona, now in Subterfuge Records, presents their first EP after a remarkable career as DJs and remixers, in which they have been put their musical instinct at the service of people like Patrick Wolf, The Antlers or Dragonette, and in which they have visited almost every European capital and some of the best Spanish festivals, such as Sonar, SOS 4.8, Sonorama or Cruïlla.

In their cover letter, Buffetlibre has also the collaboration of producer Alex Ferrer (Delorean, Dorian) and booming Spanish bands such as Chinese Christmas Cards and Rusty Warriors.
The result is The Sun In The Shade, Buffetlibre's first EP, which includes two original tracks (one of them featuring the voice and lyrics of Nick Krill -Spinto Band-) and with three remixes in the hands of the already mentioned Bonde do Role, Chinese Christmas Cards and Rusty Warriors. Five songs that show their taste for fresh electropop which makes you move (although it is not necessarily focused on the dance floor). The art direction is in charge of David j. Navarro, Spanish designer based in Los Angeles who triumphs with their animations to Korn, Skrillex, and Zedd, among many others.

After having appeared in international media like Pitchfork, Stereogum and Pop Justice, Buffetlibre are going to start their definitive conquest of Spain. At the moment, and despite the fact they are already working to introduce more new songs very soon, this summer you can see them live in different parts of the country such as Barcelona (where they are resident Djs in Razzmatazz Clubs and 28/07 with Larry Tee), Pontevedra (20/07 Port America festival) and Gijón (21/07 Gay Pride).
