"In the area of Lovenpolder there once was a hamlet called Boerengat, my great grandfather Jan Pladdet used to live there. All the houses of this hamlet were destroyed in 1995 to make way for the new Dow Chemical factory. The whole of Boerengat was raised to the ground." - broeder Dieleman
