The Flying Eyes is a band playing psychedelic rock with elements of blues. It was established in 2007 in Baltimore. It's name comes from the title of a science fiction novel by writer J. Hunter Holly, which tells of giant, disembodied eyes that descended from space to control humanity. Inspirations of The Flying Eyes date to the late 60s. The sharp riffs and distinctive vocals are reminiscent of bands such as The Doors, Steppenwolf and 13th Floor Elevators. As of 2007, of band supported the likes of Dead Meadow, The Raveonettes, The Black Angels, Witch and The Black Keys.
