In 2007 we got an invitation from the band muse to open for them at their first ever stadium show, where? Nothing more and nothing less than the new Wembley Stadium in London!
A year earlier our first self-titled album had been released. On those days we were doing between 200 to 300 gigs a year all over the world, we can say we were very busy then 😅 and of course we were very excited to be a support act for MUSE because we happened to be big muse fans!
On that day it was raining like crazy, lashing,
so all the stage was wet, we were nervous, 60,000 people or so were already inside the stadium and to make it more exciting one of our guitars (we don’t remember which one) started to break 😱 what do you do when you are in a situation like that? The answer is: just keep playing! We went through the whole gig like that and the crowd responded very good to us, and despite all our frustration, we were grateful with the experience and in awe for what just had happened, two crazy Mexicans playing acoustic instrumental music opening a stadium show for what it would become one of the biggest rock bands of our generation.
Doing this version of “time is running out“ brought us such great memories of those years , we love that song and we love that album, so we hope you guys enjoy listening to It as much as we did recording it! Have a great weekend.... try harder!!!! Kisses! :-))
