“You’re strong, girl. You are so strong.” Our language during a birth is important. We can get mommy through the hard parts when we verbally encourage her.

Birth is instinctual. It flourishes when you have care providers who treat it as a sacred and intimate experience. Everyone in the room should feel completely honored to be there with you.

Honor breeds respect and support. Respect and support allows mommy to tap into her instincts. See how mommy instinctually put her hand down to apply counter pressure? Counter pressure reduces tearing.

A tender moment was taken to reach down and touch her baby’s head as she sits in between two worlds, waiting for mommy’s arms.

I loved that a nuchal cord wasn’t followed with panic. It was treated gently, easily and peacefully.

“That’s our baby. That’s our baby. She’s coming out.” Yes, momma she’s making her grand entrance. You’ve waited so long and dreamt of this moment. It’s surreal. It’s exhilarating. It’s undeniably the most powerful and life changing moment in your life. You did it.
