Hayashida was influenced of Terry Bozzio and created this performance on the Taiko Set.

Hayashida is an excellent player as well as a composer and producer. He is an artist who has the musical ability to create compositions that are very difficult to find in the taiko world. He, especially has the rare ability to produce musical taiko ensembles that is one-of-kind in this genre of music.

林田ひろゆきの組太鼓（太鼓セット）でのソロパフォーマンス「Don Duk Dan」。
世界最高峰のドラマーであるテリー・ボジオ氏が最も得意とする、左右の手と足を独立させて行う「オスティナート」と呼ばれる奏法であるが、林田が彼より影響を受けて太鼓で「オスティナート」を構築したソロである。
曲名の「Don Duk Dan」は、左手でくり返し叩かれる基本となるビートを表しています。

林田ひろゆきは、1985年より『鼓童』の舞台で活躍し、その後、ソロ和太鼓奏者として活動を開始。演奏はもちろん、和太鼓アンサンブルを音楽的な領域で作編曲・プロデュースすることができる類い希な能力は、太鼓界のオンリーワンである。日本を代表する和太鼓のトッププレイヤーとして、国内だけではなく、アメリカへも拠点を広げ様々なコンサートや世界的ミュージシャンともコラボレーションを行っている。
