Monoton biography
Konrad Becker (Monoton)is a transdisciplinary artist and researcher in communication, philosophy of language . He is also the director of the Institute for New Culture Technologies. Since 1979 he published several works for sound installation and experimental intermedias. Monoton's first album called Monotonprodukt was written in 1980. It features psych-acoustic soundscapes for electronic loops, hypno-pulses and effects. His sound production can remind some works written by Conrad Schnitzler (Tangerine Dream, Kluster, Eruption) in the 70's and Asmus Tietchens' micro-tonal synthesized postmodernism. He recently published Blau-monotonprodukt (2006), an impressive album devoted to minimal-lysergic electronic textures. He is now considered as a legendary figure of experimental electronic pop music
