Hietsuki Bushi (Full Version)

SYNOPSIS : A traditional Japanese song meets science fiction, future agriculture, teenage story, blip music and eccentric animation in a story of quantum physics across time.

DESCRIPTION : After The Industrial Revolution, science might be a replacement over a religion's authority. Indeed we could lately believe the universal facts only though scientific solutions. Meanwhile quantum mechanics the fruits of modern science shows us a possibility of parallel universe,we adhere the only one value, truth and justice. From a long time ago this used to be the way human goes, and this music and animation do not deny this way but gaze how we communicate and relate with unknown differences.

The song is based on Japanese folk song "Hietsuki Bushi" that is about a tragic love story between political opponents Daihachi and Tsurutomi in Kamakura Era (1185-1333). "Hie" means a barnyard millet, "tsuki" means threshing, and "Bushi" means melody or phrases. The farmers working song describes the story that reminds us communications with something unknown more than 800 years later. We are probably called by this song as musical production at first, and then as an animation production at secondary opportunity.

It might sound trumped-up mysticism, but we already had a strange coincidence. The preview version of this animation was presented on one day before The East Japan Earthquake in 2011 including the scene of explosion from a future agricultural plant, even though it does not suggest nuclear power plants'. If a civilization might emphasis a disaster to a critical distraction,we have to get multiple perspectives to communicate with nature, space and ourselves. "Hietsuki Bushi" seems to have a motif itself across time.
