[Miku & LamazeP] WAVEFILE MMDPV by Hino [English Subtitles

Wow, to think it really has been 1 year since I first started translating Vocaloid videos. Wavefile, this adorable love song by LamazeP, was one of the first songs that I felt truly felt motivated to translate and share with others. Looking back on that translation now (despite its flaws), I still remember the sense of accomplishment I felt from finishing that first video. Hours of painful translation (having studied Japanese for only about 6 months), being clueless about how subtitles and encoding worked, and thus spending hours on those too (for so so results). But I still remember that exciting feeling when I finally uploaded it, the sense that finally after all the pain and struggles I was REALLY contributing something real and tangible to the community. That through translation and subtitling I could show people how much I loved Miku and all the wonderful songs that have been written for her and the other wondering Vocaloids. They're music has really transformed my life in so many ways that I will forever be grateful for. Studying Japanese and learning how to subtitle has allowed me to open up a whole new world for myself, understanding a different culture, and becoming a bigger part of the world I love. There is still so much to learn and do but in celebration of all the great things that have happened so far, I present to you this redone, improved, and karaoke-added translation of Wavefile.

There are so many people I want to thank. My Japanese teachers, my countless friends who have helped me from everything from Japanese to encoding to discovering new songs, and of course all the kind and supportive commenters, subscribers, and viewers I've had over the past year. I hope that in months and years to come I will continue to improve my language skills and video editing skills and bring you more enjoyable songs and translations to enjoy.
