"Don't Be That Way" written by Edgar Sampson, Benny Goodman, and Mitchell Parish was Benny Goodman's opening number in his famous Carnegie Hall Concert on January 16, 1938. A month later he recorded it for RCA Victor and it became a number 1 hit. As with "Sing, Sing, Sing," "Let's Dance," and "And the Angels Sing, "Don't Be That Way" has been strongly associated with Benny Goodman. This is being posted for my subscriber 1968LEONE1.
