You Raise Me Up / Lena Park

The song is written by Rolf Lovland (Secret Garden) and the lyrics by Brendan Graham in Ireland and it was released on the 2002 Secret Garden's album "Once in a Red Moon" with the vocals sung by Irish singer Brian Kennedy.
As it has been covered by many famous singers, among them, Lena's one was deeply implanted in my mind. Her voice is fantastic!

ケルティック・ウーマンが歌って有名なこの曲ですが韓国系アメリカ人、リナ・パークが歌う" You Raise Me Up" を取り上げました。この曲は2002年アイルランドでリリースされたデュオ、シークレット・ガーデンの楽曲で多くの歌手がカバーしています。中でもリナ・パークの声、歌唱が特にすばらしく私の心を捉えました。
「苦しみに心が折れかけたとき、あなたがやってきて私を勇気付けてくれる」と詠う歌詞が素晴らしく、3/11の大震災後、今尚大変な困難の中で頑張っている被災された方々へのささやかな応援歌としてアップさせて頂きました。
You Raise Me Up の　You は一日も早い復興を願う人々の"心"でもあるかもしれません。。。
