The UN says Myanmar will have difficulty meeting its Millennium Development Goals given its "extreme poverty".

Infant and maternal health are a big problem for the country as there is little or no access to healthcare. But just across the border in Thailand, a clinic has managed to reduce the rate of infant and maternal deaths.

Al Jazeera's Aela Callan finds out how midwife training and other measures are helping to control infant mortality rates.
