Brooklyn born Dennis Taylor recorded his first album 'Enough Is Enough' in New Jersey.
As a child, Dennis sang in church at the age of seven.
He later relocated to Virginia, and at the age of 18, he joined the U.S. Air Force.
Dennis served a six year stint there and, on leaving the services, he relocated back to New York.
He had previously won a talent contest that brought him to the attention of several people within the music business.
After a few years of recording without any deserved success, Dennis had his first break with the artist Robin S, singing vocals on the song 'Gonna Raise The Child' in the early Nineties.
Teaming up with producers Fred McFarlane and Darryl James, he recorded his first album in 2000.
Included on the excellent album were the songs 'Out of Control', 'You Know Just When', the single 'Smile' and 'Bad As You Wanna Be'.
The album also featured several fine ballads, one of which was the song 'Angel', which was a cover version of a song originally recorded in 1983 by Anita Baker for her 'Songstress' album.
Other downtempo songs included 'Rock U Good' and 'Should I', on which he duets with India T.
In 2000, Dennis performed a debut U.K. show at London's Jazz Café, which attracted good reactions from reviewers and fans alike.
A second album, entitled 'Unconditional' was released during the autumn of 2001 for the London based Dome Records imprint.
The tracks 'Steppin' and 'It's Over' received heavy airplay, notably on Jazz FM in London and Manchester.
Dennis returned to the U.K. for another series of live dates, that kicked off at the Southport Weekender on Saturday, November 3rd 2001.
He also performed at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on 4th of November that year.
Dennis works out of Homeboy Studio's II in New Jersey, still working alongside Darryl James, a mix show DJ on New York's urban station WRKS.
He also recorded with the artist Beverlei Brown on her album 'Next To You', collaborating on the song 'Could Be You'.
A new album, entitled 'In The Mood', was released in 2003 and included the Sam Dees penned duet with Wincey Terry entitled 'Am I Dreaming?'
Dennis's favourite artists include Jeffrey Osborne, Anita Baker and Teddy Pendergrass.
