When thinking of vaginal breech births, the fear that most often comes up for people is head entrapment.

And head entrapments, with a skilled provider can be resolved in various ways using different maneuvers.

The maneuvers vary on the position of the birthing parent and the needs of the baby.

Once the body of the baby is born, there’s a short time frame in which the head needs to be born.

When the provider felt the mother and baby needed some help, she places her hands on the baby’s chest and gently, but firmly, pushes the baby straight back under the mothers abdomen so the head can flex under the perineum, which frees the infants head.
