Vinicius de Moraes is probably the greatest Brazilian poet and musician of all times. I have grown up listening to him, his songs are deep and calming.

He was the link between the old guard of poets and the new generation song writers and singers. While he was a friend of great poets like Manuel Bandeira, he was also a friend/partner of new singers (at that time) like the great Toquinho.
