My Bloody Valentine's 3rd album Loveless set the foundation for Shoegaze and stands as one of the most influential albums of all-time! Starting off as a Goth-Rock band in 1984 My Bloody Valentine was able to evolve their sound with a series of EP's and their sophomore album "Isn't Anything", drawing a lot of influence from 80s Noise Rock (Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, etc.) the band was able to slowly craft a musical masterpiece! It took around three years and £250,000 nearly killing the band and causing their record label to almost go bankrupt but was completely worth it for the end result. Loveless never got much commercial success but was highly praised by many music critics as a one of the most groundbreaking Alternative Rock albums of all-time and one of the best albums of the 90s.
